The house

Ailyak Shoja sits in Shoja village, surrounded by cedar forest, with mountain views from the balconies. Time slows here; the rooms are built for that.

Private rooms have wooden interiors, large windows that frame the pine ridges, private balconies and deep bedding, with fresh flowers and books in the room. Dorms are spacious and uncluttered: a reading light at every bed, clean washrooms, and wide balconies. Solo travellers, remote workers and small groups share them quietly.

The café

The Ailyak Café is the third space in Shoja, after the forest and your room. Slow breakfasts, a heavy lunch after a walk, an unhurried evening chai with the mountains in view. Come for the food, stay for the evening.

From the door

Raghupur Fort is a day hike from the house; Serolsar Lake is the other. Closer in: riverside walks, forest bathing, and the fire in the evening.
