Forest bathing
Not a hike. The art of doing less, in cedar and pine.
What it is
Inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, forest bathing is walking slowly, breathing deeply, and letting the forest reset your nervous system. Our forests in Jibhi, Shoja and Seri are some of the most intact pine and cedar stands in the region.
The walk
A mindful walk through cedar and pine, led by people who grew up in these forests. Feel the bark, smell the sap, hear the birds. Optional breathwork or light yoga under the canopy, then stillness by a mossy rock or a stream. Journal or silence afterwards, your choice.
Early morning, 6 to 9, for the mist and the birds. Golden hour, 4 to 6, for the light through the trees.
What to bring
Comfortable walking shoes, a refillable bottle, a light sweater for under the trees, insect repellent (organic available on request), and a journal if you like. Phone on airplane mode. Go slower than you think.
